Dire Times is not just my space. It’s a space I share with Viriatha de Cordova. In the near future possibly a third blogger who, like Viri and I, is a roleplayer, a creative person, someone living life on a budget, and experiences deep depression.
To that end, I’ve been making changes to the page so that it’s not all about me.
As odd as this may seem, this page is getting a co-host. Viri Cordova, known to role playing enthusiasts as the mastermind behind Bard of Valiant, is of a similar age to myself and has been living through not-dissimilar life issues. She expressed a desire to blog about food, real life, and other non-gaming stuff, so I invited her over. so when you see someone other than me occasionally posting on this site, don’t freak out! Just welcome her and try to give her less grief than you give to me.
It’s been a while since I did one of these updates, so here we go.

For the moment, I am taking internet access off my phone to avoid distractions to productivity. If you contact me by email, Twitter or Facebook I will respond but probably not right away. If you need to reach me with some sense of urgency, it’s best to text me.
This blog, and the various personal blogs before it, have always been ephemeral things. I fiddle with various style and content ideas, experiment with blogging formats, and generally try to meet my needs at the moment rather than having any sort of long-term goals. That said, I do have long-term goals and a plan for the BerinKinsman.com domain name. While I’m not shutting down this blog, things may get funky and experimental over the coming weeks.
